HI ALL, I got this email randomly in my VT account. I thought I would join. I feel like it might be worthwhile to reach out to others in my field. (See if there are any of you lol). Either way next year I will be a first year graduate student at Purude University. I will be doing research in the Sensory Ecology lab-specifically studying animal behavior. I really look forward to starting at Purdue and am anxious to pack up all my stuff and move out there. I am basically I am looking for others at Purdue in the Biology Department, as well as others who have interests in Sensory Ecology and Animal Behavior!
I Would appreciate your comments and any bits of advice you can give Ok that is all! Nice day to you!

Hi, welcome to Stemming! Hopefully you’ll get some response to this post; you can also search people on the site to see if you can find anyone else with similar interests or who’s also going to Purdue. Good luck!

Almost went to Purdue. Almost majored in biology. That turned into Michigan and civil engineering. But that doesn’t mean I adore animals any less! You have an open ear here if you’d like to gush about how wonderful horses are. Chances are I’ll agree. :)
As for advice… um… never lose sight of why you’re doing what you’re doing. Even when the homework leaches all hope, remember it WILL be relevant to your passions, even if you can’t see how at the time. It guides your studying and makes it more tolerable.
