I am pretty outgoing and I love to have a good time. While I am not always the one to have the last word, I am comfortable enough in my own skin to know that I do not need it. I am pretty straightforward, but I definitely hate conflict of any kind. I love to make others laugh and I try to brighten someone else’s day whenever I can. My favorite color is blue and I absolutely love anything to do with learning.
I am currently a sophomore at Columbia College. Math is not always something that has come easily to me, but it challenges, motivates, and intrigues me, which is why I have decided that I want to further my knowledge of the field. I am especially fond of calculus (single and multi-variable) and statistics. I do not mind working at it and I enjoy it a great deal. I hope to do some in-depth research someday (on what, I do not know yet exactly. :])
I graduated high school eleventh in my class out of 288. I decided to attend a small, four-year, liberal arts college in Columbia, South Carolina. I am majoring in mathematics and also certifying to teach at the secondary level. I know that I want to continue my study of mathematics at the graduate level, but I am still undecided as to what direction I would like to take in that regard.
I did not get my first job until I was seventeen years old. I worked as a customer service associate at JCPenney. I liked it, because I was able to interact with the public and help others out. Since coming to college, I have found work as a math tutor in our campus’s math lab.
