Officially: Developer Evangelist for Startups, Microsoft
Unofficially: Hacker Chick
Masters in Software Engineering from University of Maryland (University College)
Bachelors in MIS/Decision Sciences from George Mason University
I’ve been developing software professionally for 15 years – Java, C#, C/C++, it ain’t about the language but the wonderful things we build. I’ve worked for a number of startups, a little company called Oracle, and a boutique consulting firm (Number Six Software) where I helped teams get better at the way they develop software.
Just to keep things interesting, I just started something TOTALLY different: Microsoft’s newest Developer Evangelist for Startups. My role will be to stay on top of the latest technologies and help startups & small web shops with how they can use these to build out the next generation of software. I honestly couldn’t think of a cooler position.
