Awesome link and article! I’d heard the same thing at some point in undergrad, and it’s great to know that it has no scientific basis.

Fell into web content and tech support somewhat by default, and am a little bemused by the whole thing, honestly. My hobbies include hiking, writing, drawing, and reading – a lot, pretty much everything I can get hold of.
BAs in English Lit and Anthropology, and wishing now that I’d spent more time in science than the humanities. I did get in some nice time with astronomy (planetary and general), oceanography, and statistics. I’m taking a continuing-ed course in museum studies right now… not sure if that was a good idea or not, long term.
Currently working in web content at an internet marketing company, previous jobs at my university’s bookstore in the textbook department, doing admin at a small internet company, audio-visual support at the University of Washington, and working at the Children’s Museum and Pacific Science Center in Seattle.
