Bio

I am a retired science teacher who is now a consultant in training teachers and modeling activities with kindergarten and first grade students in my Alpha-Robotics Program. I love nature and politically I am a Liberal Democrat who spent many months knocking on doors to help elect Barack Obama president.

Education

I have two master’s degrees- one in Reading and one in Special Education. I began very interested in science and took many wonderful adventurous classes- whether studying the whale, researching the salmon, or learning how to design robots! My father is a physicist and some of his excitement for science has finally rubbed off on me.

Career

I am a retired science teacher who has had many years of fun teaching students how to use RoboLab with either the RCX or the NXT. About 3 years ago, I developed a multi-disciplinary pre-engineering program for kindergarten and first grade students. I have been training teachers and modeling in classrooms my Alpha-Robotics prgram, a pre-engineering program for young students. It is amazing how well the students are doing!
