Bio
I’m a middle/high school computer science and technology teacher. I’m also a mom and general all around geek. I have a blog (http://geekymomblog.com) and I also play a lot of video games.
Education
My Ph.D. is actually in English, Rhetoric and Composition. I wrote my dissertation on using blogs to teach writing, proving I can infuse technology into anything.
Career
I taught at the college level for almost 20 years, using technology for most of those years. I was the instructional technologist at a small liberal arts college for women, where I also ran a summer program dedicated to teaching students about technology, primarily web development and multimedia design. I’ve just accepted a position teaching at a K-12 school for girls, where I will be helping to build a computer science program.
